What’s the occasion for 24 minutes of deleted scenes from "Pulp Fiction" that you’ve probably already seen on DVD? Nothing really, but we’re still in the early winter wasteland of moviegoing, and the new TV shows for 2014 aren’t kicking off until this weekend (with both "Girls" and "True Detective" arriving), so here’s another opportunity to revisit them or if you haven’t watched them, diving right in.
Presented by an animated Quentin Tarantino, this 24-minute reel (via Panic Dots) is pretty good fun for fans of the director, who takes the time not only to show off the material he couldn’t fit in the picture, but explain and set up each scene. And there are lots of good nuggets in here including John Travolta‘s Vincent Vega revealing he’s actually the cousin of singer Suzanne Vega. Ha. The world building of Tarantino apparently crosses over into real life too.
Meanwhile, if you want to travel even further back in time, Cinephilia & Beyond have dug up the complete script for Tarantino’s first film, "My Best Friend’s Birthday." See how it all began below following the deleted scenes.
