Watch: 3-Minute Trailer For NBC's DC Comics Series 'Constantine' Plus Clip From The Show

Constantine

Well, NBC is putting together its fall schedule and, right on cue, a trailer for one of their new shows has recently been made available online. Given the “prime” time slot of … Fridays at 10 p.m. … “Constantine” continues network television’s growing interest in adapting comic books into TV series. It was announced on Thursday that the show would be picked up to series with David S. Goyer (“Man of Steel”) on board as an executive producer and Neil Marshall (“The Descent”) at the helm of the show’s pilot. If you’re curious as to what “Constantine” is all about, then you should check out the trailer below. It’s pretty thorough.

For those who don’t have time to watch the video, Welsh actor Matt Ryan plays the title character, John Constantine, who has reluctantly become a supernatural detective that’s been thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond. Don’t you hate when that happens? Also appearing on the show are Lucy Griffiths (“Winter’s Tale”) and Harold Perrineau (“Oz”).

“Constantine” is one of many new shows NBC will debut this upcoming fall, along with “Bad Judge,” “A TO Z,” “State of Affairs,” “Marry Me,” and “The Mysteries of Laura.” If you do not have much faith in this show, nobody could blame you. After all, it’s in the same exact time slow as last fall’s “Dracula,” which was canceled after just ten episodes. He may be able to defend us from dark forces, but can Constantine save himself from the Friday night death slot? Check out the trailer and a clip from the show below and give us your thoughts.
