Well, here’s a pretty fascinating converastion for anyone interested in watching two seasoned, veteran directors talk about their craft and more.
Here’s a 40 minute sit down with Sam Mendes, moderated by Paul Greengrass, going as in depth as you could you ask about “Skyfall.” Somehow, this was filmed on November 5, 2012 but is only making the rounds now, nonetheless it’s a pretty fascinating conversation with Mendes revealing why MGM going bankrupt, and why delaying the movie was a lucky break, admitting his initial advice to Daniel Craig was to turn down the role of James Bond. He also talks about receiving the open offer to helm “The Avengers,” that was nothing more than a release date and a stack of comics.
It’s pretty fascinating stuff, with Mendes eager to go into spoiler territory (since the movie had just been released) and talk about the decision to kill M and much more. Give it a spin below. [IGN]
