It seems Adam Sandler has welcomed a new, young recruit into his stable of regulars, in the fresh-faced and funny Andy Samberg. The duo paired up in last weekend's wickedly unfunny "That's My Boy," and in case you missed it, Samberg recently stopped by the set of "Grown Ups 2" for a cameo. And now they've paired up once again, though you might not recognize them right away.
The duo lead the voice cast of the upcoming "Hotel Transylvania" which — unlike everything Sandler has done for the last few years — doesn't look completely dreadful. In fact, it looks like it could be some lightly amusing fun. The concept itself is pretty clever, centering on a vacation spot for ghouls and monsters that gets their first human as a visitor throwing everything into disarray. Things are further complicated when he falls for the vampire propreitor's daughter (voiced by Selena Gomez). Not bad. The quality level is likely due to the presence of director Genndy Tartakovsky, the Emmy award-winning helmer behind geek faves like "Dexter's Laboratory," "Samurai Jack," and "Star Wars: Clone Wars."
So yeah, we don't hate this. Kevin James, David Spade, Cee Lo Green, Steve Buscemi and more round out the voice cast for "Hotel Transylvania," which opens on September 21st. [HeyUGuys]
