Watch: Adrien Brody, Jackie Chan & John Cusack Travel The Silk Road In Trailer For Epic 'Dragon Blade'

Dragon BladeJohn Cusack has been making no shortage of…interesting…choices lately when it comes to big screen roles, but no one could’ve guessed that he’d join Adrien Brody and Jackie Chan in something called "Dragon Blade." In fact, the whole project seems a bit unexpected, a $65 million dollar historial epic about Roman soldiers in China, but the first trailer is here to show you what it’s delivering.

Directed by Daniel Lee ("Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon," "Black Mask"), the story follows a Roman soldier on the run, and former Chinese guard who has become enslaved, whose paths cross in the Western Desert in China in 48 BCE. And what follows is a lot of really bad dialogue being expressed as earnestly as possible, coupled with some admittedly grand looking setpieces. All around, it sorta comes off as a lesser grade "Gladiator."

"Dragon Blade" opens abroad on February 19th. There’s no U.S. distributor or release date yet. Check out the trailer below, along with a Christmas greeting from Jackie Chan and John Cusack, plus pics and posters for the film.
