As Cameron Crowe's "We Bought A Zoo" heads into theaters this wekeend, many kids and parents will likely be hearing Jonsi's unique voice for the first time as the Sigur Ros frontman delivers his first bonafide score, and it's led by the Oscar contending song "Gathering Stories."
As the film rolls into the multiplex, the video for the song has dropped and thankfully, it ditches the standard film clips/rote performance angle most spots for movie music take. Instead, it's a fully animated video populated with animals, that goes from forests to mountaintops to the desert to underneath the sea. It's pretty nice piece of work and suits the otherworldy pop Jonsi puts his immediately identifiable stamp on.
