Watch: Australian Critic Tears Apart 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Plus The Onion Reviews The Film

Fifty Shades of Grey"Fifty Shades Of Grey" takes it off, ties you up, and gets it on this weekend, and by all accounts, the box office will be huge. But will audiences dig it? Certainly fans are already between the sheets for the flick, but critics are mixed, and some, like our own Rodrigo Perez, completely loathed it. And he’s certainly not alone.

Down under, on Australia’s "Today" morning show (via Film Drunk), you might think you’d find a softball review of the movie from a show that’s aimed right towards stay-at-home moms or people who just want a bit of easy news before heading off to work. But you’d be mistaken. Lisa Wilkinson goes off on the movie (with some annoying cheering on from her fellow colleagues) and tears it a new one in a clip that’s making the rounds for good reason.

Meanwhile, The Onion’s Peter Rosenthal offers a hilarious take on the movie, one that is better watched than explained.

"Fifty Shades Of Grey" arrives on February 13th, and if you don’t want to watch the movie, you’re not alone — star Jamie Dornan‘s wife is going to pass too. “She doesn’t want to watch this,” the actor told USA Today. “She wants to support me and my work. I won’t be able to sit there myself. I am not going to put any pressure on her either way. It’s her decision. She’s well aware that it’s pretend, but it’s probably not that comfortable to watch.”

Indeed.
