Man, you gotta feel a bit for Brandon Routh. It was only seven years ago that he was given the duty to play Clark Kent and reboot the Superman franchise in Bryan Singer‘s “Superman Returns” and well… that didn’t quite work out…
Another one of those “Everything Wrong With…” videos (the lesser cousin to “Honest Trailers”) has surfaced, this time picking apart “Superman Returns” in six minutes. Nothing is spared here, not even Marlon Brando‘s famous voice-over that the studio negotiated to use with his estate, though to little lasting effect. Really, the whole endeavor was pretty misguided from the casting downward, but here’s a reminder why Warner Bros. decided to scrap plans for a sequel that was looking at bringing Brainiac and Bizarro in as possible villains, with Singer directing again.
After that, check out this kinda dorky but kinda endearing clip of a drummer adding his own beats to the trailer music for “Man Of Steel.” It’s not half bad. And in case you forgot, Superman flies high again on June 14th. [The Wrap/Comic Book]
