Watch: Björk Co-Directs Video For 'Moon' In Which She Has Orange Hair & Plays A Belt Harp

The other day a friend told us that they would be interested in Lady Gaga if her music was anywhere near as ambitious as her outrageous clothing. Certainly, for someone like Björk — who famously made a statement with her swan dress at the Oscars and released an album of ambitious acapella jams — a lack of adventurousness in both clothing and songwriting, is not an issue.

The Icelandic artist has already been heavily promoting her forthcoming album Biophilia, and with one video already down — directed by longtime collaborator Michel Gondry no less — the artist goes behind the camera for her next spot with help from Inez and Vinoodh, M/M Paris and James Merry (no, we don’t know who they are either). The end result is a new video for “Moon,” in which Björk dons a fabulous orange wig and plays a harp belt as the moon moves in phases. The song is…interesting…and continues to follow Bjork’s experimental muse, taking her a far cry from her more popular fare. As for the video, it’s fine, and will sate your appetite for closeups of Björk singing for the next little while.

Biophilia has been delayed slightly as Bjork remixes, re-records and touches up some of the tunes on the album. It will street on October 11th. Watch below.
