Watch: Brass Body Trailer For 'Man With The Iron Fists' Plus Featurette & Music Video For "Built For This" Featuring Method Man

nullIf you’re a fan of kung-fu, hip-hop, or movies that enjoy blurring the lines between genres, there’s a pretty good chance that, like us, you’re desperately waiting for Wu-Tang Clan member RZA's directorial debut “Man with the Iron Fists.” Well the marketing wheels are certainly spinning as we edge closer to the film’s release, and three more pieces of tease have hit the Internet.

The character trailer focuses on Brass Body, played by former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista, who turns into the stunning gold-plated being we’ve seen in a few trailers already. There isn’t a lot of new footage to be shown – it’s mostly comprised of shots we’ve seen in various other trailers – but it gives us a bit more Brass Body.

Then we have a featurette, which is the real “get” of this batch of marketing materials. While many studio-issued featurettes are just showy set pieces intercut with irrelevant behind-the-scenes B-roll footage, here we get to see the RZA himself directing the ensemble of actors from the major stars of the picture like Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu, to fresher faces like Jamie Chung and Rick Yune. We get a taste of the RZA collaborating with fellow co-writer and producer Eli Roth, and we’re sort of aching to see what sort of details and anecdotes these two will eventually dish out on the DVD/Blu-ray commentaries.

Also, we already knew the soundtrack for the film was going to be paced with great tunes even before the details were revealed a while back, and now we’re getting to see the tracks roll out, with the video for this new Method Man, Freddie Gibbs and Streetlife tune "Built for This" dropping. It’s one of the most solid tracks from Method Man in quite some time, while the music video is mostly one of those limp promotional pieces that intercuts scenes from the movie. Still, it’s worth a watch and a listen, and we’ll definitely be picking up a copy of the soundtrack when it hits on October 22nd, along with the film’s score by the RZA and “The Protector” composer Howard Drossin coming as a separate release.

“Man with the Iron Fists” lands in cinemas on November 2nd, and there’s no lack of excitement here.
