$200 million folly, or this summer's brainless "Transformers" programmer? We'll soon see, but if international audiences are any indication, no one reads reviews as "Battleship" has opened #1 in a number of territories, adding nearly $60 million to the war chest a full month before the waterlogged movie lands stateside. At the end of the day, people just want to see stuff explode as they're shoving greasy popcorn down their gullets. Or something. Anyway, until the movie says F6 at your local multiplex, a new clip has landed giving a look at a non-CGI sequence from the film.
MTV has unveiled a scene between Brooklyn Decker, whose quest for a chicken burrito is sidetracked by the attentions of hunky dudes Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgard who are chilling out in the bar. Will romance eventually bloom between Kitch and Decker? #spoileralert Mostly likely.
Anyway, "Battleship" will dock on May 18th. Watch the scene below.
