Watch: Cate Blanchett And Rooney Mara Make Plans In New Clip From Todd Haynes' 'Carol'

CarolIn case you can’t tell, we’re a little bit crazy for Todd Haynes‘ "Carol" already. Yesterday we unveiled the soundtrack details and first clip from the film, and as we drink our first coffee, the second clip from the drama has arrived, so let’s get right to it.

An adaptation of Patricia Highsmith‘s novel "The Price Of Salt," the ’50s-set film tracks the relationship between an older, married woman and a clerk who works at a department store. And in this scene, the pair get to know each other over a meal and an invitation is extended. And if you’re wondering who’s doing the score, that’s the usually excellent work of frequent Coen Brothers collaborator Carter Burwell.

No release date yet for "Carol," but fingers crossed it jumps into the awards season. Watch the new clip below, along with the one from last night in case you missed it.
