Channing Tatum’s career will also be spoken of in terms of two periods, before 2012 and after. Not only did the year find Steven Soderbergh giving Tatum some much-needed prestige, clout and weight with “Magic Mike” but more importantly, the world saw how damn funny the beefcake actor could be in the surprise comedy hit “21 Jump Street.” The much-anticipated sequel, “22 Jump Street,” hits theaters next month and a new clip has arrived online to give you a taste of the laughs in store for you.
Sony has delivered the nearly minute-long clip that’s pulled from one of the film’s comedic action set-pieces where Jonah Hill and Tatum try to stop bad guys from driving away in a trailer, while on top of said trailer. It’s pretty short and we’re assuming that the scene plays a lot better and funnier in context, especially since there’s awkward beats between the dialogue it’s glaringly obvious that more colorful language has been removed.
“22 Jump Street” crashes into theaters on June 13th. Watch the clip below.
