Watch: Chaos Reigns As The Trailer For 'Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever' With Aubrey Plaza Is Unleashed

Grumpy Cat's Word Christmas EverNo, this is not a Funny or Die trailer, or a College Humor video, or a clip from one of the countless comedy web sites or YouTube accounts parodying Hollywood’s pathetic attempts to turn literally anything popular into movies or TV shows in order to make a quick buck. What we have here is an actual example of Hollywood’s (specifically The Lifetime Channel’s) pathetic attempt to turn an internet meme that’s barely funny in two-second bursts into an entire TV movie in order to make a quick buck.

While countless talented filmmakers all around the world can’t secure even the most bare bones budgets for a chance to realize their unique visions, a considerable amount of people were paid handsomely to write, direct, and star in a freaking Grumpy Cat movie. This proves once again that life is not fair, nor is it sensical.

Yes, Grumpy Cat bursts out of your annoying co-worker’s desktop to star in her (this writer is instantly depressed after having to do actual research in order to determine Grumpy Cat’s gender) own movie, "Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever." The first and hopefully last trailer was released and it stinks of a desperate attempt to keep Lifetime relevant and edgy as Grumpy Cat plugs in as many meta references as humanly (Or feline-ly) possible into a minute-long clip.

The plot concerns a little girl who adopts the famous feline, who ends up blowing up a mansion in return? Grumpy Cat herself is voiced by Aubrey Plaza, who obviously ignored her own inner voice, before taking on the part.

“Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever” premieres on Lifetime on November 29th. You can watch the trailer below. [Gladwinput]
