Outside of “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” and the upcoming “Gambit,” Colin Firth has been missing from the big screen since picking up a Best Actor Oscar for his work in “The King’s Speech.” But he can soon be seen in the upcoming “Arthur Newman” alongside Emily Blunt. And the first trailer for the film has arrived, along with the new poster.

Directed by Dante Ariola and written by Becky Johnston, the film follows two people who bond when they discover that they both want to run away from their respective families and create new lives for themselves. Despite the quality of the two leads, our review from TIFF last year called the movie “a bland scenario about boring people that want to mature but have no idea how.” And indeed, the trailer points to yet another generic and middle-of-the-road indie dramedy, complete with a sad, yet ultimately uplifting song that scores the last half of the trailer.

“Arthur Newman” swings into theaters April 26th. Watch the trailer below.
