If you’ve spent any time on the internet over the past couple of years, you’ve likely seen the “Movie Titles in Movies” supercut that features eighty instances of a movie’s title being spoken within the movie itself (e.g. The Doc saying “Back To The Future” in his living room). The Brooklyn-based comedy troupe Poykpac has twisted that convention by released a short film where the dialogue is entirely made up of movie titles.
Running just under four minutes long, “Movie Title Breakup” focuses on a couple having a disastrous dinner date and features 154 different movie titles as the basis for the dialogue. While the conversation sometimes sounds off—there are apparently very few pronouns in movie titles, “I, Frankenstein” notwithstanding—there are some great uses in the short.
If you have some time to kill and your boss isn’t around, watch the short below as well as the “Movie Titles in Movies” supercut. [via Reddit]
