It was just last week when we explored the state of the rom-com, 25 years after the release of the still excellent, funny and very real "When Harry Met Sally." Indeed, the landscape these days is pretty dire for the genre, but like we said, there are gems to be found in smaller, indie films. And one that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to strong buzz last year is "What If," and as it heads to theaters next month, a couple of new clips are here to give you a peek at this charmer.
Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan star in this one about the tricky dilemma one young man faces, when he starts falling for his best friend… who unfortunately happens to already be in a relationship. Seems like familiar stuff, but advance word on this one is good and the supporting cast is pretty good too with Adam Driver and Rafe Spall also featuring. And from how much honesty is required in a relationship to make fool’s gold, these clips highlight that there is no shortage of advice to go around for the characters in this film.
"What If" opens on August 8th.
