"Daredevil" is coming, but part of cleaning up the streets of New York City means squaring off with Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio in the Netflix series. And they’ve tweaked the villain from comic pages to the small screen. "I just brought in this kind of character who in one sentence could easily go from being a child to a monster, depending on where his emotions take him," the actor told USA Today, adding: "I wanted him to have an appearance of being super-powerful so that when he throws a punch, it’s a major punch. There’s a lot of weight behind it."
And he’s certainly fearsome in the new, full length trailer for "Daredevil" which looks to be going much grittier than its big screen cousins. But that’s not surprising given that show-runner Steven S. DeKnight has previously said, "It is much more geared towards adults. We call it PG-16. We don’t quite get to R, but we kiss right up to it."
Do you think Marvel has done a good job of catering to an older audience with this one? Does Charlie Cox do justice to the hero? Watch the trailer and let us know in the comments section. "Daredevil" arrives on April 10th on Netflix.
