"Bloodline" might be the best show you haven’t watched yet. The Netflix drama hasn’t earned the same pop-culture buzz as the streaming site’s other shows like "House Of Cards" and "Orange Is The New Black," but it deserves to. It’s a terrifically layered, emotionally complex soap opera (that term is not a slight), and it’s back for a new season where the members of once-great Rayburn family are now busy burying the dead and the secrets that go with it.
When season one ended, Ben Mendelsohn‘s Danny Rayburn met his demise, but his life still haunts the family members played by Kyle Chandler, Sissy Spacek, Linda Cardellini and Norbert Leo Butz, who are forced to keep secret the very, very bad things they’ve done. Here’s the synopsis:
Season 2 begins with the Rayburn family struggling to conceal their unthinkable crime. Mysterious strangers from Danny’s past arrive with a dangerous agenda. Law enforcement is closing in on the truth behind Danny’s murder. And the tight-knit family’s once harmonious relationship is poisoned by paranoia and mistrust as it slowly begins to unravel. Lies mount. Alliances are betrayed. Relationship are destroyed. With their backs against the wall, good people may have to do some very bad things…
John Leguizamo, Andrea Riseborough, Jamie McShane and Owen Teague join the second season, which kicks off on May 27th. Watch below.
