Watch: Elle Fanning In Short 'The Curve Of Forgotten Things' Featuring Original Score By Deerhunter

For the most part, fashion-inspired films or advertising, usually focus on bizarre fantasies played out in the wealth and glamor of metropolitan settings. Not so, this time around.

In the short film, “The Curve Of Forgotten Things” for fashion house Rodarte, director Todd Cole simply follows star Elle Fanning around as she floats through fields and the historic Baldwin House in an array of beautiful clothing. Wondering why the pic looks as good as it does? It was shot on RED utilizing Cooke lenses from the 1970s, helping evoke the dreamy feel of the short. That sentiment is also helped by the aces original score by Deerhunter (someone get these guys to soundtrack a feature-length film). It also should be mentioned that Rodarte designed the ballet costumes for Darren Aronofsky‘s “Black Swan” and you can see the some of the designer’s work for that film on display in their upcoming show at MoCA.

But for now, sit back, and take a look at the short below. [Nowness]
