Watch: Exclusive Clip From L.A. Film Fest Comedy 'Four Dogs'

We have another L.A. Film Fest exclusive this week, in advance of the festival’s kick off on Thursday with Pedro Almodovar‘s “I’m So Excited.” We’ve already seen a teaser from the doc “Levitated Mass“ and a clip from the drama “Winter In The Blood,“ and today we’ve got a fierce and funny firefight against… dogs? Don’t worry, it’s only an imagined one and it comes from the mind of young Oliver, a struggling actor practicing a monologue against the background soundtrack of his dog-sitting charges, from the narrative competition entry “Four Dogs.”

Oliver (Oliver Cooper) is a struggling Los Angeles actor, making ends meet by dog-sitting for his aunt and passing his time practicing his acting and hanging with his acting class buddy Dan (Dan Bakkedahl, you know him as the particularly unctuous Roger Furlong on “Veep“). The quirky comedy is directed by Joe Burke and written and produced by Burke and Cooper, and it looks to be a naturalistic and humorous send-up of the life of a struggling actor.
