Watch: First Footage From Brad Pitt’s WWII Tank Movie ‘Fury,' Plus New Photos

Fury, Brad Pitt

If you want to be really reductive about it, most of David Ayer‘s career has focused on telling stories about good guys and bad guys, usually centered around the world of police officers. He’s long been interested in exploring the men behind the badge, their moral and ethical conflicts and the dangerous ways they put their lives on the line each day. But for this next effort, he’s expanding that vision to the biggest battleground of all, World War II, and the first footage from “Fury” is here to show you some good guys caught in a very bad situation.

Starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal and Michael Pena, the movie is set in April 1945, and follows a five man tank crew who are outnumbered and outgunned as they embark on a mission to hit the Nazis right where it counts. It sounds like potentially potent stuff, and Sony agrees, dating the movie right in the heart of awards season. Could Brad Pitt get his fourth acting Oscar nomination this year? We’ll have to wait, but with a Best Picture trophy on his mantle for “12 Years A Slave” (he was a producer) he might not be sweating it too hard.

“Fury” rolls into action on November 14th. Watch the first footage of the movie below and check out some new photos too.  [IGN]
