Finished bingewatching the second season of “Marvel’s Daredevil” yet? Presumably many hardcore fans did so within the first 24 hours of “Daredevil” appearing on Netflix this morning. And when you finish the show? Well, you get a very brief teaser for Marvel’s next Netflix series: “Luke Cage.”
Review: Jon Bernthal’s Punisher Can’t Elevate Netflix’s Middling ‘Daredevil’ Season 2
Starring Mike Colter, “Luke Cage” centers on the bartender and superhero who first appeared in “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” late last year. During the course of an investigation in New York City, private investigator Jessica Jones encountered the enigmatic Luke Cage and generated a romance, with his secrets and powers unveiled over the course of her show. In this new, very brief teaser, which appears after season two of “Daredevil” is complete on Netflix — the TV version of a post-credits scene?— we see Cage getting shot up, but his invulnerable body barely being damaged. "I guess you guys haven’t heard about me,” Cage says as gunmen aim their weapons and shoot at him. “I’m about sick of always having to buy new clothes.”

"Luke Cage" co-stars Rosario Dawson (reprising her role from "Daredevil"), Sonia Braga, Alfre Woodward, Mahershala Ali (Remy from "House Of Cards"), Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Frank Whaley, and Frankie Faison. There are rumors, of course, that “Luke Cage,” much like “Jessica Jones," will introduce Iron Fist played by “Game of Thrones” star Finn Jones. It’s a solid bet as Iron Fist was Luke Cage’s partner in early iterations of the comics, and because all these heroes will appear in a “Defenders” series eventually, but you never know what Marvel may choose to do.
It’s very brief, but it’s surely something to tide over rabid Marvel fans. “Luke Cage” arrives on Netflix on Friday, September 30th. Watch the first teaser below.
