The premise of suddenly finding yourself single and having to start over is nothing new. But add the appeal of Jemaine Clement, mix in a little bit of fatherhood, and you get "People Places Things," and the first trailer for the comedy has arrived.
Co-starring Regina Hall, Jessica Williams, Stephanie Allynne, Michael Chernus, Aundrea Gadsby and Gia Gadsby, the story centers on Will Henry a graphic novelist and a professor in New York City, whose life is turned upside down when he discovers his longtime girlfriend cheating with one of their friends. Fast-forward a year, and Will is still trying to put his life back together, raise twin daughters, and enter the dating scene. Premiering earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, Katie Walsh fell for the picture, calling it "a funny rumination on fatherhood, marriage, and how relationships fall together and fall apart" that’s "a total charmer."
"People Places Things" opens on August 14th. Watch below.
