Watch: First Trailer For Chris Rock's Celebrity-Skewering Comedy 'Top Five'

Top Five, Chris RockPicked up hot out of the Toronto International Film Festival by Paramount and scheduled for release before the end of the year, "Top Five" is probably not an awards season contender. But the latest from writer/director/star Chris Rock might just be one of the most enjoyable movies you see this fall, and the first trailer for the film is here to show you why.

Rock plays André Allen, an A-list comedy star whose life is on the precipice. He’s about to be married to a reality star on live television, and his venture into dramatic acting is hitting theatres. He’s got a lot of issues on his mind, and for better or worse, New York Times reporter Chelsea (Rosario Dawson) is spending the day with him to interview and research a profile. And so begins a 24-hour journey into his life, and it’s great stuff. As we wrote out of Toronto, the film displays "a surprising heart beneath its very funny surface," with some genuine depth in what is packaged as a riff on celebrity culture.

"Top Five" opens on December 12th. Watch below.
