Watch: First Trailer For Paul Feig-Produced 3D 'Peanuts' Movie

“It’s long overdue,” Charles Schulz‘s son Craig Schulz told USA Today about the “Peanuts” movie. “The fans have been asking for a long time, but we held off until the time was right.” We’re not sure anybody was asking for a 3D, slickly animated take on Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the gang, but it’s coming, and the first trailer for the effort has dropped today.

Mostly notably, it has Paul Feig in the producer’s chair and he has worked to ensure that this contemporary version of “Peanuts” won’t do anything too drastic. “Snoopy will not be rapping, no one will be twerking, we’re in good hands,” he said. However, the tools of technology will allow audiences to experience certain elements of the strip in a whole new way. “We’re going to fly with Snoopy in his fantasy world,” director Steve Martino said. “We have a bigger canvas. Bill Melendez got Snoopy off the ground in the TV specials. We’re going to take it a step further.”

Too many steps further or just right? Watch below and let us know. “Peanuts” arrives on November 6, 2015.
