Good news. His excellency Admiral General Aladeen (aka Supreme Leader Shabazz Aladeen) has decided to allow the first two minutes (1:44 to be exact) of his new movie to be seen online. That is so to say the opening scene of Sacha Baron Cohen's "The Dictator" — the heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy will never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed — is now online.
Directed by Larry Charles ("Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan"), this sequence opens up with the fictional global tensions between the nation of Wadiya (run by Cohen's dictator), the U.S., and most countries in the United Nations because of Aladeen's refusal to let nuclear weapons inspectors into the country (sound familiar?). Even President Obama will not let this aggression stand. The clip also goes into the backstory of how Aladeen came into power and the new edicts he put into place. Frankly, this is pretty hilarious in our books. Though British journalists are calling it a "controversial message" because in a U.K.-centric 'Dictator' clip, Aladeen wishes Queen Elizabeth well for her upcoming "blood diamond" jubilee and says he hopes it will be a smooth transition when Prince Charles eventually kills her and takes the throne. LOL.
Due May 16th, Paramount's "The Dictator" also stars Ben Kingsley, Anna Faris, John C. Reilly, Megan Fox as herself, J.B. Smoove, Kevin Corrigan and B.J. Novak among others.
