Few films roar out of Sundance the way "Whiplash" has. Damien Chazelle‘s music world drama took Park City by storm, landed in Cannes, Telluride and Toronto, recently screened at Pop Montreal, and now hits NYFF. Every programmer wanted this one to screen at their fest. Now it’s finally coming to theaters and there’s a ton of promotional material you can dive into.
Starring Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons, the drama focuses on the intense relationship that forms between a drummer at a music conservatory and his highly demanding mentor and instructor who pushes the musician to reach his full potential. This new clip tells you everything you need to know about the electricity in the air whenever Teller and Simmons are in the frame together.
After that, check out two lengthy talks with the cast and director from the Toronto International Film Festival and New York Film Festival, respectively. And if that’s not enough, there’s a batch of new pictures too. "Whiplash" opens on October 10th.
