Is "Angry Birds" still a thing? I guess people still use it to kill time on the subway on the way to work, but will anyone show up for a big screen version of the mobile game? Am I so out of touch? No, it’s the children who are wrong. Anyway, "The Angry Birds Movie" is real, and so is this trailer, which is weirdly scored to Michael Jackson‘s "Bad." Uh, okay.

Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, Jillian Bell, Danielle Brooks, Romeo Santos, and Smosh all pay for their next vacations by lending their voices to the picture about an island of flightless birds who get visited by pigs. For real, that’s the synopsis more or less:
The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis, We’re the Millers, Horrible Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride, This is the End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.
"The Angry Birds Movie" arrives on May 20, 2016. Check out the U.S. and U.K. trailers below.
