Gareth Edwards is not a household name by any stretch, but that may change after “Godzilla” arrives in theaters next month. Warner Bros. (at least thus far) has kept the goodies hidden from view and instead have placed Edwards (and his enthusiasm) at the front of a handful of featurettes, with a couple more dropping in the last week.
In the first one, Edwards share his advice if you want to become a filmmaker: don’t do it. Okay, if you really want to make movies, Edwards basically wants you to know it’s a long, hard path that’s sometimes thankless and you may not even believe it yourself that it will ever amount to anything. But sometimes it does, and in the second featurette, the director shares his experience at seeing the rendered Godzilla for the first time.
