Originally slated to open in theaters this past spring, Joe Carnahan‘s "Stretch" was removed from the release calendar by Universal, who were perhaps gunshy about the commercial prospects of a wacky, R-rated comedy, even one with a decent number of familiar faces. Well, now it’s going to VOD and the first trailer has arrived.
However, if you’ve been paying attention, there has already been an insane amount of clips, deleted scenes and more online, and so if you’ve already made your opinion based as such, this promo won’t change your mind. And really, it puts all the cards on the table, with Patrick Wilson playing a put upon limo driver who has pay off his $6000 gambling debt, and does so by spending one night as the wheelman for one of his worst clients ever. And it’s an evening he won’t soon forget. Basically, this film should contain no shortage of zany, so if that’s your bag, you’ll probably dig it.
"Stretch" opens on Amazon on October 7th and hits all your favorite VOD outlets on October 14th.
