Disney‘s desire to revisit their catalog and spin out new live action prequels/sequels started in earnest with “Alice In Wonderland.” What you might forget is that this movie earned over a billion dollars back in 2010, which is why we’re getting a sequel in 2016, and why this week the mouse house is dropping “Maleficent” (a prequel to “Sleeping Beauty“) and next year, a live action do-over of “Cinderella.” But here’s the thing—”Alice In Wonderland” is terrible. And the folks at Screen Junkies are here to remind you why.
They’ve dropped their latest installment of the Honest Trailers series, and they’ve got it right when it comes to one of Tim Burton‘s and Johnny Depp‘s career low points. Both of them phone it in, leaning heavily on the clichés that made them successful, while the entire movie is probably the least imaginative thing ever associated with Lewis Carroll. Anyway, take a painful trip down the rabbit hole by watching below.
