Watch: Go Exploring With New Trailer & Featurette For Netflix's 'Marco Polo'

marco poloNext month, you’ll have no shortage of options for big screen spectacle at the multiplex with "The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies," "Exodus: Gods And Kings," "Into The Woods" and more all arriving in cinemas. But if the weather is bad or you don’t feel like paying exorbitant ticket prices on top of outrageous concession stand fees, parking and more, Netflix has got you covered. The streaming site is unveiling their own grand adventure with "Marco Polo," and a new trailer is here.

Newcomer Lorenzo Richelmy leads the show, with episodes directed by, among others, Joachim Ronnin and Espen Sandberg ("Kon-Tiki," "Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales"), history comes alive with this tale of the great explorer and his time hanging in 13th century China where concubines and Kublai Khan roam. And it certainly looks expensive, and appropriately epic, while also a bit sleazy too. Somewhere between HBO and Starz quality, maybe?

Find out when this goes online starting December 12th. Trailer and a behind-the-scenes featurette below.
