Will "Guardians Of The Galaxy" be "Star Wars" for the Marvel crowd? That will be determined in about a month or so, but certainly James Gunn‘s film is carrying that vibe. With wacky creatures, cheeky humor, and yes, plenty of big galaxy action, the thumbprint of George Lucas can be felt even from the trailers. But this mashup video takes things to the next level.
The Usual Suspect has cut a trailer using footage from the original "Star Wars" trilogy, but using all the music and cues from "Guardians Of The Galaxy." The result is a decent bit of fun, even if it veers a bit goofier in representing "Star Wars" (or maybe it is that goofy and I just don’t remember it that well). It’s a clever bit of recutting that alternately stokes excitement for both ‘Guardians’ and for pulling out those "Star Wars" VHS tapes or DVDs (depending on how old you are) and giving them another whirl.
