Watch: Heroes Battle In New Footage From 'Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice'

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice

The corporate synergy continues! Co-owned by Warner Bros., the CW Television Network houses all of the DC Comics properties on the small screen — “The Flash,” “Legends Of Tomorrow,” etc. — and so in a complementary corporate handshake, last night CW aired a DC Films special, titled, "DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League" hosted by DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns and superfan Kevin Smith to further promote the upcoming DC Films Cinematic Universe. During the special they debuted a new "Suicide Squad” trailer; unveiled the first footage of “Wonder Woman” with Gal Gadot and dropped story and character featurettes about their remaining Justice League characters, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg.

That’s not all. New footage from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” debuted, showing a ripped Ben Affleck and more getting gritty in Zack Snyder’s film. Given the extensive cast which also includes Amy Adams, Laurence FishburneDiane Lane, and Jeremy Irons, it would’ve been nice to see some of them too. But then again, WB is selling the steak right now, not the sizzle.

Meanwhile, in other DC Films news, buried in last night’s “Suicide Squad” trailer is the detail of composer Steve Price coming on board the project. He scored “Gravity” and “Attack The Block,” so you know it’ll at least have thrilling music. And oh, one more thing. The ‘DC Films’ show also confirmed what we knew since last summer: Green Lantern Corps is coming, eventually, to this world, and there’s a brief look at the footage below.

‘Batman v Superman’ hits March 25th.
