Watch: Homemade Shot for Shot Remake Of The 'Jurassic World' Trailer Plus New Clip From The Film And More

Jurassic WorldWe are winding down the clock to the release of “Jurassic World,” which is just over a week away, and the general vibe from fans of the franchise seems to be cautious optimism. It has been well over a decade since the last film of the series, and while the trailers have been met with a mixed reception from diehard fans, tracking on the movie is still huge with a $100 million opening expected. But for those who are doubters, there are still plenty of reasons to be excited; even Steven Spielberg seems to have high hopes. He appears in a featurette, which you can view below, sitting alongside director Colin Trevorrow, where he essentially gives his stamp of approval.

“ ‘Jurassic World’ is a breath-taking adventure. It goes down an original road which none of the other movies ever dared to travel,” says Spielberg in the opening seconds of the mini-featurette. Both Spielberg and Trevorrow emphasize that it’s the story and the characters that are really the star of this show. Trevorrow and actor Chris Pratt felt pressure to make a film that could live up to the original and they both seem so earnest about it in their interviews. Let’s hope that they, along with Spielberg, are true to their word and that this film actually does wind up surpassing our expectations. Wouldn’t that be nice?

If the featurette wasn’t enough to get you in the mood for “Jurassic World,” do yourself a favor and check out the homemade shot-for-shot remake of the trailer. It’s really impressive to see what resources they use to make their no-budget trailer match the original. Even more, CineFix uploaded a separate behind-the-scenes video as well as a side-by-side comparison between the homemade version and the actual version. If nothing else, it certainly looks like they had a lot of fun and, perhaps, a little too much time on their hands.
