Watch: In Case You Missed 'The Mechanic,' Here's The Red Band Trailer For Jason Statham's 'Blitz'

So, didn’t get a chance to see “The Mechanic” when it was in theaters a couple of months ago? Never fear, another movie with Jason Statham talking in his smoked leather voice and crackin’ skulls is on the way (well, at least if you’re in the U.K.). A red band trailer for “Blitz” has arrived and it delivers the generic goods.

Once again, Jason Statham plays a loner who, this time, is on the hunt for a crazy cop killer. Believe it or not, the film is based on a novel by Ken Bruen and more surprisingly was written by “Moon” scribe Nathan Parker. The film co-stars Paddy Considine, Luke Evans and David Morrissey. Elliot Lester is directing.

“Blitz” opens in the U.K. on May 6th, but is currently without a U.S. date. We’re sure some mid-size distributor will come along and give this the limited theatrical/mostly straight-to-VOD release it deserves. [IGN]
