In the works for years, with numerous directors and stars coming and going through various incarnations, “We’re The Millers” finally firmed up a cast, got in front of cameras and has been made with Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston leading an ensemble cast that includes Emma Roberts, Nick Offerman, Ed Helms, Kathryn Hahn and many more. The result? Well, another comedy where an excuse is made for Aniston to strut around in her underwear…
Spanning nearly three minutes, this red band trailer wastes no time in giving up the goods in what we hope aren’t the funniest moments in the movie because…they aren’t that funny… Penned by “Wedding Crashers” writers Bob Fisher and Steve Faber, the story follows a loser who is forced (for some reason) to drive back a shitload of weed from Mexico. In order to dupe the authorities, he puts together a fake family and herds them into an RV to pick up the goods. It’s a decent premise, but this all seems kinda broad and familiar, though we will say Sudeikis’ Bane impression and the “Waterfalls” karaoke made us laugh (even if “The Other Guys” crushed TLC-referencing comedy for all time).
