Watch: Jean Dujardin Wages A War On Drugs In New Trailer For 'The Connection'

The ConnectionJean Dujardin has a timeless movie handsomeness that suited him well for "The Artist," but if you think he’s too good looking to go gritty, guess again. The Oscar winner is back on the big screen with "The Connection," and a new ’70s soaked trailer is here.

Co-starring Gilles Lellouche, Céline Sallette, Mélanie Doutey, and Benoît Magimel, and directed by Cédric Jimenez, the film is based on a true story, and finds Marseilles magistrate Pierre Michel trying to dismantle the most notorious drug smuggling operation in history: the French Connection. And yes, while William Friedkin tackled this material few decades ago, this comes from a different angle, and certainly rides along with its own propulsive energy and style.

"The Connection" opens on May 15th.
