Watch: 'Jobs' Is An American Legend In New Trailer For Apple Founder's Biopic

There are few figures in the tech world who captured the public imagination quite like Steve Jobs. As almost zen like presence (at least in public) in an industry of suits and nerds, he made buying technology a near-religious experience, with his keynote speeches and his “one more thing” surprises sending millions scurrying to line up at stores to purchase the next iProduct. His passing was sudden and premature, and his story is the stuff of the American Dream, so it follows that the movies aren’t far behind. First out of the gate is “Jobs” with tech-guru and sometime actor Ashton Kutcher carrying the title role.

Following six clips and a featurette over the weekend, a brand new trailer has arrived promising a movie that will take viewers on a journey through the Apple founder’s life. From his homebrew days in the garage in California to the rise of an industry titan, getting sidelined from the company he started, returning, saving it from the brink of extinction and introducing the revolutionary iPod, the picture seems to cover all the bases. But whether or not it will capture the somewhat intangible spirit of the man himself remains to be seen.

“Jobs” boots up on August 16th. Watch below.
