On Thursday morning, the Cannes Film Festival will unveil their official slate, but it’s perhaps not a coincidence that some of the more high profile international movies, expected to be part of the lineup, are getting the promo ball rolling. Over the weekend, we saw the first trailer for Paolo Sorrentino‘s "Youth," and now comes his countryman Matteo Garrone‘s "The Tale Of Tales."

Featuring a great array of ensemble talent including Salma Hayek, Vincent Cassel, John C. Reilly, Toby Jones, Stacy Martin, Alba Rohrwacher and Massimo Ceccherini, the film is a loose screen adaptation of the fairy tales by Italian poet Giambattista Basile. The first teaser appears to be from Italian television and has some egregious voiceover, but it does provide a preview of what looks to be a pretty fantastical film.
