This summer, Keira Knightley is going sing in “Begin Again,” the latest from “Once” writer/director John Carney. But she won’t be alone, as the upcoming film also features the, uh, talents of Maroon 5 lead man Adam Levine, and a fresh clip is here showing the two of them at work.
Co-starring Mark Ruffalo, Mos Def, James Corden, Hailee Steinfeld and Catherine Keener, the film tells the story of a washed-up music exec who finds hope when he stumbles across the talents of a British ex-pat living in New York City. Her boyfriend is a famous musician (yep, Levine is Knightley’s partner in this one) but she has songs of her own too. And in this clip, you’ll see the pair working out her latest tune, “Lost Stars,” which just could be a chart topper if in the right hands with the proper support.
We didn’t care too much for this one when we saw it at TIFF, but perhaps its ramshackle charm will work on you. “Begin Again” opens on July 4th. Watch below. [EW]
