We’re in the last stretch of awards season, which means the glitz and glamor of the industry is going to be even more blinding than usual. But Vanity Fair has taken a different approach, choosing to shine a spotlight on British stars who have been making waves in Hollywood over the last few years. The result is a short film told in three parts — "Preparing For War," "Coming To America," and "Victory Is Assured" — that’s a cheeky look at the stars from abroad who have made an impression stateside.
Featuring over 40 actors from merry old England — including Eddie Redmayne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Tom Hiddleston, Michael Caine, Orlando Bloom, Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Dominic Monaghan, and more — it finds the actors taking on famous scenes from classic films. Knightley recreates Meg Ryan‘s fake orgasm from "When Harry Met Sally," Monaghan delivers the "I coulda been a contender" speech from "On The Waterfront," while Jeremy Irons drops an iconic line from "Die Hard."
