Watch: Kevin James Makes His 'Dr. Doolittle' With 'The Zookeeper'

Kevin James. Talking animals. A fat guy yelling seemingly non-stop. It looks like our cinematic prayers have been answered.

The teaser trailer has arrived for the latest Kevin James masterpiece and if you always wondered what Paul Blart might do if he was in a zoo, well here’s your answer! The film follows Griffin (James) a kind caretaker at the zoo who decides to try find a more lucrative job so he can finally get a girlfriend. But the animals don’t want him to go and in order to get him to stay reveal their biggest secret: they can talk! Screaming and running into things ensues.

Okay, we might not care this but clearly a lot of people seemed to like it, as Sony pushed the film from its originally slotted release this fall to next summer based on overwhelmingly strong test scores. In Zookeeper, the animals at the Franklin Park Zoo love their kindhearted caretaker, Griffin Keyes (Kevin James). Finding himself more comfortable with a lion than a lady, Griffin decides the only way to get a girl in his life is to leave the zoo and find a more glamorous job. The animals, in a panic, decide to break their time-honored code of silence and reveal their biggest secret: they can talk! To keep Griffin from leaving, they decide to teach him the rules of courtship – animal style. The film also stars Rosario Dawson and Leslie Bibb and features the voices of Cher, Nick Nolte, Adam Sandler, and Sylvester Stallone.
