Watch: Liam Neeson Has A Special Set Of Skills To Fight Nature & Wolves In New Trailer For 'The Grey'

nullRoles for older actors are tough to come by, so when Liam Neeson had a surprise smash hit with the low rent thriller "Taken," he took his new bad boy persona and ran with it. With roles in "The A-Team" and "Unknown" making the most of his new status as action star (of sorts) and a "Taken" sequel on the way, there won't be any shortage of Neeson kicking ass anytime soon. And in fact, you'll just have to wait until next month to see Neeson once again, throwing down. Only this time, it isn't dubious foreigners who are the source of his problems. It's wolves.

A new trailer has arrived for Joe Carnahan's man vs. nature thriller "The Grey" and it's kind of stupidly good. Once again, Neeson uses his awesome voice to tell fill us on the few details we need to know. He's security for a bunch of Alaskan pipeline workers and is forced to protect them when their plane crashes, leaving them at the mercy of the Alaskan winter and some vicious wolves. Neeson does it all here from building a shelter, getting a fire going and then strapping on some broken glass bottles to throw down with lupine villains. Damn son. Carnahan certainly seems to have made use of the Canadian wilderness where this shot, as it certainly looks much better than films in this genre generally do. Moreover, this has a pretty solid supporting cast with Dallas Roberts, James Badge Dale, Dermot Mulroney, Frank Grillo, Nonso Anozie and Joe Anderson rounding things out.

All in all, this looks like a perfectly servicable B-movie that could be some good brainless entertainment. "The Grey" will kick Mother Nature in the ass on January 27, 2012. Watch below. [Moviefone
