Earlier today, we dropped our list of 10 Films To See In January, and while all due respect to those movies, we think some of the best drama you’re going to see this month is going to be at home on HBO. We know we’ve been talking about this one for a while, but just like that, “True Detective” will start airing in just over a week and a brand new trailer featuring lots of new footage is here to get you excited all over again.
Led by the undeniably potent duo of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, directed by Cary Fukunaga (“Sin Nombre,” “Jane Eyre“) and penned by Nic Pizzolatto, the story finds two detectives tackling a mysterious case that spans over a decade. And it will certainly test their spirits in this spot narrated by Michelle Monaghan, who plays Harrelson’s wife, and sees the duo unravel from the sidelines as they go deeper and deeper into their investigation.
“True Detective” premieres on Sunday, January 12th at 9 PM. Watch below.
