The name Max Landis immediately inspires divided opinions. If you’ve ever wondered how the kid gets work, just watch him pitch. The screenwriter recently stopped by Screen Junkies, where he shared his idea for "Man Of Steel 2" —it’s not hard to understand how he gets gigs, considering the enthusiasm and passion he puts forth in the video.
For Landis’ dream sequel, he would present a Superman fallen out of favor with the public, broken and suffering PTSD following the events of "Man Of Steel" and ready to leave Metropolis altogether. But as Clark Kent, he gets one last assignment at the Daily Planet to interview Lex Luthor, who would be played by Tom Hanks. The Elon Musk-but-evil entrepreneur reveals he knows that Clark is Superman, and offers to repair his image by essentially being his PR man and sending him around the world on life-saving missions.
Superman agrees, but one night, Batman tries to warn him about Luthor. Superman ignores him, and his next job from Luthor is to start rounding up other vigilante superheroes like The Flash, Wonder Woman and Green Arrow. Once he does, he realizes Luthor has evil intentions now that all these superheroes are at his disposal. And so, Superman teams with Batman to free the Justice League and they all take on Luthor, in a movie that would be directed by James Cameron.
Well, keep dreaming Max, but what do you think about his pitch? Watch it below and hit our comments section with your feedback.
