It takes a certain amount of humility to poke fun at yourself, and sometimes big name stars aren’t able to be self-deprecating. But that’s not a problem for Michael Bolton. He’s already shown he can play funny, appearing as a "Pirates Of The Caribbean" obsessed version of himself in The Lonely Island‘s "Jack Sparrow" video. And now, he’s riffing on being the butt of the joke in "Office Space," and turning it to his advantage.
Funny Or Die rounded up the singer to recreate the Michael Bolton scenes from "Office Space." Originally played by David Herman, the character was vexed by constantly being asked if he was related to the famous singer, but refused to change his name because the real Bolton is "the one who sucks." Bolton steps into the part, cheekily refers to himself as the "extremely talented ass-clown," and basically has a lot of fun. Check it out below before printing those TPS reports.
