Whether it wins the Palme d’Or not, Paolo Sorrentino‘s "Youth" is working hard to be the most well-liked movie at the Cannes Film Festival. Yet another trailer has arrived for the movie, and it might be the most straight-forward yet.
Michael Caine and Harvey Keitel lead the movie as a couple of old friends who reflect on their lives in the beautiful Alps. There is certainly a bromantic flair to the proceedings, with the two spying on people having sex in the woods and taking in the grand beauties who just happen to bathe nude in front of them. Right now, the sell seems to be on the lighter aspects of the movie, but we presume there are some darker notes, and that they didn’t commission the song "Storm," from the difficult-to-license Canadian supergroup Godspeed You! Black Emperor, for nothing.
"Youth" opens in Italy on May 21st, and will arrive in the U.S. via Fox Searchlight.
