As August fades, so too does the quality of movies hitting cinemas. But Netflix has a pretty great reason to stay in with "Narcos," and with the drama set to debut in just a couple of weeks, a new trailer has hit for the anticipated series.
Wagner Moura ("Elite Squad," "Elysium") takes the lead role of Pablo Escobar, one of the most notorious drug dealers and kingpins of all time, who racked up both stacks of bills and bodies. José Padilha ("Elite Squad," "Robocop") directed the ten episode series about Escobar’s life, and follows two DEA agents tasked with bringing him down. Here’s the official synopsis:
The Medellin cartel – the most violent, ruthless and wealthy criminal organization in the history of modern crime. And the one man who lorded over them all… Pablo Escobar.
NARCOS is the true story of the U.S. and Colombian efforts to battle the Medellin cartel during the cocaine-fueled drug wars of the 1980’s. Multi-layered and multi-faceted, NARCOS depicts a brutal world where lines are blurred and little is black and white.
"Narcos" arrives on August 28th. Watch below.
